Gracie Mae is 10 weeks old now and she's so fun! I keep her in my studio to keep me company. She's getting to a feisty stage where she wants to grab my arm with front claws and kick with her hind feet. OUCH! So I stuffed an old black sock and tied a knot in the ankle and now she has to fight with the sock, not me! My arms are all scratched up from her play times. But then when she's tired, she is such a little cupcake...she crawl up the front of my shirt and curls up right under my chin and goes to sleep. Anways...these are progression pics... from the sock, to my lap, to her bed on my painting table. Isn't she just adorable!
Other than a little talent passed on to me by my grandma, Pearl, I am a do it yourself kinda gal and like to figure things out on my own most of the time. When that doesn't work I take an online workshop. We live on 3.5 forested acres with a breathtaking view of Mt.Hood.
“To live content with small means... To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion... To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich... To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly... To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart... To bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never... In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common; this is to be my symphony.”
