When I was sculpting doll faces I always enjoyed making fairies and witches more than just regular people. I'm finding the same is true in drawing. If it looks too human it bores me. Here are a few sketches I did this weekend. Am I having fun yet? You bet I am! *LOL*
You look like you're having fun, and I certainly am: watching your incredible talent unfuld I especially love your fairy faces and the little pointed ears, but I have a special affinity for fairies!
Other than a little talent passed on to me by my grandma, Pearl, I am a do it yourself kinda gal and like to figure things out on my own most of the time. When that doesn't work I take an online workshop. We live on 3.5 forested acres with a breathtaking view of Mt.Hood.
“To live content with small means... To seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion... To be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not rich... To study hard, think quietly, talk gently, act frankly... To listen to stars and birds, to babes and sages, with open heart... To bear all cheerfully, do all bravely, await occasions, hurry never... In a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common; this is to be my symphony.”
